Name: Artemis
Age: 20
Favorite food: Strawberries, pizza, noodles, white rice, milk, dark chocolate.
Least favorite food: Asparagus, tomatoes, beetroot.
Likes: Watching anime, swimming, Paganism, reading, writing, surfing the net, sleeping.
Dislikes: Broken promises, soap operas, drama llamas, bitchiness, arrogance, spiders.
Five adjectives to describe your personality: Self-aware, self-contained, moody, impatient, unconfident.
Life goals: Right now I’m just starting my PhD, so my immediate goal is to finish that and hopefully edit it and publish it as a book. I don’t know what I actually want to be per se, but my ultimate goal in life is to grow and consciously make myself into a more confident, fully independent and internally strong person.
Favorite Azumanga character and why: Sakaki-san. Her love of cute things just makes me want to squee all over her, in spite of (or because of) how she is misinterpreted as cool and sometimes scary. The neighborhood cat scenes with Sakaki make me both laugh and cringe (but in a good way). Kaorin’s crush on her is just as lovable. I’m also quite fond of Chiyo-chan – she’s just absolutely adorable (… especially her pigtails. The scene where Osaka dreams in class about those pigtails really stuck with me).
Least favorite and why: I don’t really have a least favourite. The thing about Azumanga is that no character is really seen as anything but cute or funny – even Kimura-sensei, who in any other series would just be outright creepy (which he definitely is, but it comes across as more comedic than anything else here). I suppose if I had to pick though, it would be Yomi – but only because, in comparison to everyone else in the series, she comes across to me as the least weird or funny out of the group.

Do you have any pets? Two cats, both of which are quite dense and downright crazy at times. Quite adorable, though, and although I don’t mind dogs, I’m definitely more of a cat person.
Are you shy or outgoing? Shy. I’ve gotten better, but I used to be unhealthily so.
Would you consider yourself tolerant of others? I think so. Unless it’s a pet peeve (see ‘dislikes’ in first section), I usually have a “live and let live” kind of outlook.
Do you participate in extra-curriculars or are you part of the Go Home Club? Definitely the Go Home Club. I have my hobbies and such, but I need my alone-time.
What type of people do you hang around with? I prefer having a small but close network of friends rather than a larger group. My friends are perhaps slightly odd and all very different; I suppose that’s because I’m a little anti-social to begin with, so the people I do like to hang out with would tend not to be boring. So I’d say I have a tight-knit and eclectic group of friends.
You can be too tall to be cute. True or false and why? Not true at all. While it is true that small people are often seen as cute, I also know many tall cute people. I don’t think ‘shortness’ and ‘cuteness’ are necessarily reliant on each other. Cuteness is more of an attitude to me than anything else.
What are you afraid of? Spiders and most creepy-crawlies. But on a deeper level, I’m afraid of not achieving what I want in life, and of falling short of my own standards. I’m very much my own worst critic.
Are you a slacker or do you study/do homework? I never procrastinate and always hand in things on time as well as usually take care of my responsibilities around the house, but I’m often lazy as well. I do what I should and usually do it quite well, but I’m guilty of rushing or cutting corners sometimes. So I’d say I’m somewhere in the middle.
What is your cure for hiccups? I hold my breath for ten seconds or so, and repeat that a few times. It’s never failed to work!
Favorite school subject? English Lit.
A shark is a type of fish. A dolphin is a mammal. Well then... is a snail a bug? Technically it’s a mollusk. But I’d be tempted call it a bug anyway, just because it’s easier.
Most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you: I’d rather not say. But then, even if people don’t notice, I tend to get embarrassed easily.
Chiyo-dad. Real or imaginary? It’s real to Sakaki, and I suppose that’s what ultimately matters.

Fill in the blank: "Three years went by so fast. Chiyo-chan has gotten taller. Sakaki-chan's breasts have gotten bigger. I became ______." More myself.

Show us one or two pictures of yourself. If you don't have any pics, write a short description! I’ll describe myself if that’s okay. Tallish (5’10”/177cm), slim and tan from all the outdoor swimming (I live in New Zealand, so I swim a lot, even in the winter). Dark brown hair that I’m growing long (although admittedly it’s dyed from the original ash-blonde colour), blue-green eyes.
